Composition Shingles are the most widely used roofing material on the market, and can vary greatly. They also come in a number of different styles, colors and warranties. Redwood Roofers uses GAF HD(TM) and HD Ultra(TM) dimensional style shingles (wind rating 110 mph.) also referred to as the laminated shingle. The dimensional shingle is noticeably thicker, heavier look which was designed to emulate the appearance of wood shingles. Composition shingles are impregnated with asphalt and coated with mineral granules to add color.
